The hotel's prime location just a stone's throw away from the train station made it ideal for us, as we were using Lausanne as a base to explore nearby towns. The trendy neighborhood provided us with plenty of dining options, adding to the overall convenience of the location.Our twin room, while simple, was immaculately clean and well-equipped with practical amenities such as a coffee machine, tea, and a safe. The shared bathroom, though across the hallway, was solely for our use and maintained to a high standard. The friendly and helpful staff further contributed to a pleasant stay.Although the hotel lacks certain luxury features like air conditioning and a swimming pool, it compensates with its affordability for Swiss standards. The complimentary Wi-Fi and the cozy bar area added to the overall value proposition of the hotel.In conclusion, AlaGare offers a balance between affordability and comfort, making it a suitable choice for budget-conscious travelers looking for a convenient and well-maintained accommodation option in Lausanne.
